'First of all I’m absolutely delighted to announce Palms is staying. It’s been a real difficult 3 weeks for him personally with so much thrown at him from other clubs higher up the pyramid. He’s dealt with it brilliantly and I know he’s made the right decision, There’s no doubt whatsoever Joe will play Minimum step 1 in my opinion but he’s only 20 and needs time and the platform which he gets here. He’s got aspects of his game which need polishing, he’s far from the finished article, saying all that, to keep him where he’s settled is major business for the club and I’m expecting another good season numbers wise from him'.
